It's so exciting to see the crew together again in this photo that appeared today on VanityFair.com. When you roll over our faces in the online feature, you can read about our various experiences landing roles in The Hunger Games. Now that's crisp! (I'm hoping if I say this enough, it'll catch on. Crisp is the new swag!) Be sure to read what Jennifer Lawrence has to say about the comparisons to Twilight, and pick up the December issue of the magazine....
Grazing in the grass
Earlier this week, I made a whirlwind trip to Mexico City to attend the screening of Colombiana with the wonderful cast and crew. It was so good to see everyone - my director, Olivier Megaton, and the producers Ariel Zeitoun and Sandrine Molto. (Again, Happy Birthday, Ariel!) I was also glad to be reunited with the cow sculpture that hangs out near the pool in my hotel there. ...
I wore my own earrings because these studs were perfect for school girl Cataleya!
Thanks to everyone who's gone to see Colombiana, and to all the repeaters! I'm really grateful to the reviewers, especially The New York Times, who've said such nice things about my performance. It's been amazing! Next, the movie opens in England. Hope everyone goes to see it!
Leven & me opening night
Finally, I've seen Colombiana! I went to the movie's opening night last night with 15 friends and family members, including fellow Hunger Games Tribute Leven Rambin aka Glimmer. Meant so much to me that they came. A big shout-out to everyone around the country who also went. Dayo Okeniyi aka Thresh tweeted me a picture of his ticket stub. Couldn't have wished for a more fun opening night! I'm sending big prayers to everyone who is feeling the effects of Hurricane Irene. Because of the storm, the organizers of the MLK Memorial weekend in D.C. had to postpone this weekend's events until September or October. I was scheduled to appear on a panel today. I hope I'll get to go later. Keep safe, everybody!
My character, Cataleya, witnesses a horrible tragedy.
Just eight more days until Colombiana! It's pretty intense and filled with lots of action and thrills. I won't be able to see it before it opens on August 26, so you're just have to fill me in until I get the chance!
So excited to read the reviews of my very first movie, Colombiana, in the Hollywood Reporter and Variety. The movie doesn't come out until August 26 in the United States, but it was released in France on July 27. There are billboards all over the place and friends have seen the ads on TV. Check out the reviews for yourself and go see Colombiana opening weekend. I play Zoe Saldana's character, Cataleya Restrepo, as a child, and I got to do some awesome stunts after training with David Belle, who created Parkour. Talk about working with the best! ...
